Feeling unwell can be a frustrating experience, often leaving us with more questions than answers. Whether it's a persistent cough, unexplained fatigue, or sudden stomach pains, our bodies can sometimes send us confusing signals. Understanding the reasons behind our ailments is crucial for effective management and recovery.

What Causes Symptoms?

Generally symptoms we experience are a result to shifts away from wellness within our physical selves. Factors that can cause shifts in how we feel include:

  • emotional stressors

  • poor nutrition

  • trauma (i.e. car accidents)

  • viral or bacterial exposures

  • medication or supplement side effects

  • environmental exposure (such as toxins or heavy metals)

  • lack of sleep

  • lack of exercise

  • surgery

Changes to our health can begin slowly--often without us being aware of them. For example, chronic consumption of processed sugars can lead to diabetes. Once diabetes starts, it can be difficult to reverse or heal. However sometimes the process of shifted health happens in such a way that it can be difficult to pinpoint a cause and a solution. Making a timeline of your health from childhood on can help you see where, when, or how something changed.
